The Gregorian Calendar New Year 2018
It is a New Year again...at least according to the Gregorian Calendar! It is the usual time to make resolutions, start a diet, join a gym and promise yourself that this new year will be the best year ever, etc, etc, etc... For many of us this is also a time of grieving...due to all the credit card debt that we've inflicted upon ourselves over the Holiday Season. This is one of the biggest reasons why I don't celebrate Holidays anymore, however we are not here to talk about Holidays...No! This article is all about the New Year and my thoughts on how to make it a good one! So let's begin...
1) Take it Easy- You've already made it through the Holiday storm and all the New Year's celebrations. Make sure you get some rest! Just because you told yourself you're going to start working out everyday doesn't mean you have to dive into your workout regimen and go crazy. This can easily lead to burn out. Go slow! Ease your way into whatever it is you are trying to accomplish, whether it's exercise, a new diet, a new task or even a new relationship. Don't overdo it! You can easily overwhelm yourself and end up quitting. So take it Easy! Don't worry! Everything that needs to get done will get done when it's supposed to!
2) Don't Get Distracted- This year, like all years, there's going to be tons of distractions! Don't allow yourself to get caught up in the illusion! Politics, scandals, weather crises, terrorism! This is all a distraction to keep you in a state of fear. Don't go for it this year! Wake up from the illusion! Turn off your tv and get focused on things that really matter to you! You may say, “Wait! I want to know what's going on in the world”! But remember, all these negative distractions affect you whether you realize it or not. You may not be able to keep up in conversations, but you'll be better off for it! If you want to accomplish some serious goals you MUST stay focused on your goals! Don't get distracted!
3) Remember- You are a beautiful being of light and love. A spirit in a physical body experiencing humanity. The embodiment of perfection in an imperfect world. Try not to take things too seriously! In reality, we've been here for billions and billions of years...so really, what's a New Year?
