Sound Healing with Tibetan Singing Bowls

I recently decided to purchase a large moldavite crystal for myself. They tend to be pricey and disappear a lot (they actually run away from people), so I usually opt to purchase small pieces of moldavite. But recently I decided that I would splurge and invest in a larger piece of moldavite to add to my meditation pyramid. In case you are not familiar with moldavite, it is a unique and super powerful high frequency extraterrestrial gem that formed in the heat of an asteroid impact about 15 million years ago. Anyone that's into crystals should know about moldavite. It's one of the 12 synergy stones- a group of high energy crystals that are thought to help activate the light body as well as quickly enhance the process of spiritual ascension and evolution.

I purchased my moldavite on the etsy site from a seller I had never purchased from before, but he had excellent reviews. When my moldavite finally arrived it was accompanied by a clear quartz crystal that was about the same size as the moldavite. Both crystals looked like they belonged together. I also received some pieces of blue kyanite, which my good friend quickly took from me. But as I stood there holding my large moldavite (perhaps the largest I ever held) and it's clear quartz counterpart, I was astonished at the energy that I felt coursing through me. My moldavite crystal and extra crystal gifts were accompanied by a letter that was hand written by the owner of the etsy shop explaining that he cleared and charged my crystals with tibetan singing bowls. I was very pleased but thought nothing of the tibetan singing bowls at that very moment.

I liked the energy of my moldavite so much that I decided not to clear it. Under normal circumstances I would either use sage, selenite, reiki or all three methods to clear crystals that I purchase at stores or online. But I didn't want to do so this time. I just added reiki and placed my new crystal pals in my meditation pyramid. I went on to experiment meditating with my two crystals as they appeared to be inseparable to me. I lied out in the sun for approximately an hour or so with these two crystals placed on my solar plexus (stomach). After doing so I experienced a strange reaction (twice) as I felt goosebumps on my upper left arm in various locations. It was an odd feeling to say the least. Then it finally dawned on me! The tibetan singing bowls! This was something I had to look into!

FYI If you do not know what tibetan singing bowls are... They are a type of bell that vibrates and produces a rich deep tone when played. Also known as singing bowls or himalayan bowls, tibetan singing bowls are said to promote relaxation and offer powerful healing properties. Buddhist monks have long used tibetan singing bowls in meditation practice. Sounds from tibetan singing bowls entrain the brain to move into the Theta brain wave frequencies that induce deep meditative and peaceful states, clarity of mind and intuition. The sound vibrations impact our nervous system, engaging our relaxation reflex and inhibiting the stress or pain response. These healing sounds can also be used to program crystals for crystal healing!

Something told me to get on etsy and look at the owner's etsy page. On this page there was a list of favorited items. Lo and behold the tibetan singing bowls were on this list. In fact there were two sets of tibetan singing bowls listed. One was an antique set and one was a regular set- both sold by the same company! The regular set was cheaper so that's what I went for! I read the reviews and they were fabulous so I took the plunge and decided to buy this 7 bowl/ 7 chakra set of tibetan singing bowls. I even paid extra so that they could arrive for my full moon eclipse first serious mushroom trip that was coming up in a few days. I wanted to play the tibetan singing bowls while on my trip.

So my bowls arrived the night before the full moon eclipse. Besides looking absolutely exquisite, the bowls came with a beautiful silk carrying case and tibetan prayer flags. I wrapped the prayer flags along the top of my meditation pyramid- a perfect fit! Then I started playing my bowls! What a perfect healing sound they made! I was impressed. Such a lovely sound from such small bowls. My cats crept closer to inspect the new sound. I gave them a little concert and then called it a night.

The next day I decided to go on my balcony with the tibetan singing bowls. My neighbors harass me with their music every so often, so now it was my turn! But instead of playing the usual beta music that is so toxic to our energy fields, I would be playing uplifting and healing frequencies. The whole neighborhood would benefit! Good karma points for me! So I started to play my singing bowls and all of a sudden a bee came out of nowhere and started hovering around me as if interested in the sounds that it was hearing. Something new in the neighborhood! It was a friendly bee that just appeared to be inquisitive. As the bee floated away, a hummingbird appeared right in front of me as if it was inspired to follow the beautiful sounds it was hearing as well. At this moment I knew I had something special on my hands.

Now I've attended singing bowl meditations before and I've even listened to singing bowls on youtube, but this was different. Perhaps because the singing bowls were in my home and I was playing them instead of listening to someone else playing them? My home is also super charged with crystals, pyramids, energy devices, reiki... So the singing bowls just happened to amp the energy of the environment up to the next level.

I had a glorious first real mushroom trip that day. And the tibetan singing bowls were a very important moment of that trip. I was alone with my cat Felix, who is also a healer like myself. In fact, I don't think I would even be a reiki healer right now if it wasn't for Felix. But that's a whole other story. I played the bowls for Felix and sang to him. Felix was purring the whole time. I cried and sang some pretty powerful affirmations. A lot of healing took place. It was a truly magical occasion.

I decided to record myself playing the tibetan singing bowls on my phone. The sound quality was surprisingly good. In fact, as I write this article I am listening to my tibetan singing bowls recording. And just the other day I listened to my recording when I was taking a cleansing bath for the new moon solar eclipse. I was so pleased with my purchase that I purchased the tibetan singing bowls a second time as a gift for my father for fathers day (even though I technically don't celebrate commercialized holidays). My father was very happy with his gift! He is very musical. He plays the piano and other instruments... so tibetan singing bowls seemed like the perfect gift for him!

So in summary.... if you're ready to take your spiritual/ energetic healing to the next level....
